The word ‘cocoon’ always weirded me out. I think because I remember that movie being put on so often when I was a kid.
Could not visit my Aunt’s without having to see that or E.T., shit you not.
It was just a weird word, the things in the movie were like…glowy weird soft rocks, you know, I mean to put it in just a few run on sentences, they held no positive appeal to me.
The one I mentioned to keep myself in though, that wasn’t even for myself! Turns out it was for us.
I thought I had to keep little myself safe, poor lil Dickens, he’d already been through so much and been exposed to so much before anyone of us.
No. That was the place myself kept US to stay safe.
Been in Glutton’s belly the whole time and I didn’t realize it til now.
The world was never a real thing I could partake in beyond being a small do-good cog in the machine til death.
A fleeting memory would always be more of a home and a reality than someplace that clearly didn’t want me in it.
I pass by some schools on my errands here and there. So nostalgic to see them empty like this during the summer. A little anyway..I started having to attend summer school upon entering intermediate (middle) school.
Would always think of the oft-things.
What are your hand turkey’s doing over THERE summer vacation.
Where are those quilts your class knitted going to go someday.
Reminded me of another thing. When I was a youngster, big long ago, our Lord and purveyor of kid themed pizza associated fun, was not Charles E. Cheese Esq. III, it was under the name of Showbiz Pizza.
Same thing though, animatronamanamonic band, pizza, merrymaking, you get the idea..
I looked behind the curtain one time, despite Oz telling me not to.
I looked behind the curtain once, and I saw the figures, just, you know, being fake and stuff. I think seeing them up close sort of gave me this fear of ‘the uncanny’, you know?
Probably why I never liked watching Labyrinth or The Dark Crystal that much…
Like, bro, you’re the Muppet man, dawg, drop these spiny vultures and ish, ya heard?
