So we did end up going to the beach afterall.
It was kind of confusing - so it'll be confusing to write out.
Will's friends were going to the beach early in the morning - and we would meet up with them later.
They all got to the beach and it started to drizzle. They were going to wait it out. But Couple A got a text from a friend that they were in a different part of the shore having drinks so they wanted to leave and join their friends instead of waiting out the drizzle. They convinced Couple B to go for drinks and go back on the beach once the rain let up.
While couple A and B were heading to the bar they texted us, so me and Will were also now heading towards the bar.
While driving over the rain stopped so Couple B wanted to go back on the beach but Couple A still wanted to meet up with their friends for drinks.
Service isn't the best at the shore and me and Will had a hell of a time parking [we eventually paid $25 for lot parking] so we went to the bar, not knowing they all had split up.
By the time we got to the bar Couple A was just finishing eating. We called Couple B and they said they were on the beach. It was too hard to find them on the beach so we just decided to stay in the bar with Couple A.
Me and Will hadn't eaten but Couple A and their friends did and they were in the mood to drink, and drink, and drink [$].
It was fun at first but drinks are expensive at the shore and I told Will - I had to eat something, I can't stay here and drink all night.
So we tried to get Couple A to maybe take a walk on the beach, or the boardwalk, while we find a slice of pizza or something but they didn't wanna go.
Apparently Couple A didn't want to do anything but what they wanted to do.
So Couple A told us - go on the boardwalk, go on the beach, get food, we're staying here at the bar so just come back to the bar and they will be there.
So me and Will walked the boardwalk, found pizza and butterfly fries [$$], and had a good time. Then we walked on the beach letting just basically from the knees down get wet.
We returned to the bar after and Couple A wasn't there!
Just at that moment we saw Couple B coming off the beach! So we told them we lost Couple A and Couple B was like 'good' cause they were mad at them. So Couple B was like 'we're gonna go to the aquarium, do you wanna come?' and we said yea.
So we went to the aquarium [$$$] and on the found Couple A, still with their friends. So we said 'we're going to the aquarium, wanna come?' and they were basically like - we've been to the aquarium years ago, it's small, we wanna play games'.
So we split up again with Couple A playing games and we went with Couple B to the aquarium.
After the aquarium Couple B we met up with Couple A again! Couple B wanted to eat but Couple A were still playing games so we split up again and Couple B ate and me & Will just got slushies [$$$$].
It was just the weirdest thing that Couple A & B came to the beach together and then spent basically no time together. They're pissed at each other now - whatever.
THEN, today, me, Shauna and a new friend 'Zumba' were supposed to go to New Hope PA which is a hippy kinda town - all the restaurants are non-chain, there are thrift stores, tarot readers, organic soaps - etc.
It's really kinda a girly thing to do and it was gonna be just us 3 girls - but then Zumba's husband wanted to go and Shauna said yes - it was rude to say no. We all, including Zumba, were a little weirded out about a guy wanted to go on this ALL GIRLS shopping trip to this gay hippy town but he went.
And it was... ok.
I mean, we left around 10:30 and he was complaining about how he needed coffee and Shauna didn't really wanna stop. New Hope is at least an hour away - also he didn't know that so he was kinda like 'are we there yet' and it was like - you invited yourself on this trip so just stop, you know?
So we get there. share the cost for parking for parking {$$$$$$$$] and he darts into a Dunkin Donuts as soon as we get there without even telling us he was going - so we basically stood on a corner in town looking for him and calling him. He came out with his damn coffee. And when Zumba was like 'why did you leave and not tell us and make us wait for you?' and he was like ' we live in the age of cellphones - you should have just left and when I got my coffee I'd call you and find you'.
ok.
So we first went to an awesome olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop which doesn't sound as impressive as it really was. You got to taste everything and I left with a 2 Lime Jalapeno white balsamic vinegars, 2 traditional balsamic vinegars [but it's a thick syrupy kind] and 2 Bacon olive oils {$$$$$]. To be fair I'm giving some out to my mom and sis and her hubby. which is why I got 2 of everything.
We went to many other stores and then we went to lunch which with apps and drinks was {$$$$$$].
Then we found a wine tasting {$$$$$$$] and the guy was really good and really focused on what we liked and was really knowledgeable so we felt bad leaving without getting a bottle of wine each {$$$$$$$$$].
The Zumba's husband did it again! Darted into the same Dunkin Donuts for coffee without telling us!!! Zumba promised to never bring him out again.
We went to many more store and the ended the day with frozen yogurt {$$$$$$$$$] and that was my very expensive weekend.
Not like anything I bought was particularly expensive - I just went out a lot and bought a lot and though I had the money - I didn't really need to blow through it like that.
Thank God this Friday is payday but I'll try to make next week tighter budget wise since I went hog wild this weekend.
I did have fun tho.

It's ok to treat yourself every once in a while! As long as you don't do that every week there's nothing wrong with it. How annoying about her husband. I hate it when people do stuff like that.
