There were a number of life events that made me go into a downward spiral last year. All I wanted was to get over the slump real fast since it was really taking a toll on my well-being. If only that was possible, right? The reality is: the world won’t stop for me, and I still have to put in the work.
What I’ve found helpful in my journey are: 1. getting up from bed, no matter how difficult, 2. re-discovering my core strengths + making an effort to not just “go through the motions”, and 3. surrounding myself with the right people - those who really care.
Things do get better over time as they say. Overcoming that difficult period was no easy feat, and I am nothing but grateful; for all the lessons learned, and for those who stuck it out with me.
