NJM 8 - Grateful in Each Day

Yeah yeah, I’m a day late (and a dollar short), but I had good reason ;)

What one item are you grateful to have in your life?

Is my husband an item? My cats? I’m going to assume items are not flesh and blood.

I’m definitely grateful for my car, even if I take it for granted most of the time. I love driving, and I love taking detours down new streets. I would not be able to live where I do if I didn’t have a car. Being able to afford to and willing to drive moderate distances from work or amenities wouldn’t be possible without my car.
My car’s name is Miyuki, which means beautiful snow or beautiful happiness, because they are a frost white. I always name my vehicles after their maker’s origin and their colour (I’m excited to get to choose a Korean name when I get my Ioniq). I definitely talk to my car, which may be another symptom of neuro-divergence (feeling empathy to inanimate objects and anthropomorphizing is a common occurrence with ASD) but I also think its a bit of insurance when the AI uprising happens and all of our electronics turn against us. ha.ha.ha
