  1. With decades of age, I’ve come to realize that organized fandom is the problem, not being a fan of a thing. It’s like religion. Disorganized faith helps some get through life but once there’s a structure, there is only power-differential & madness. Be disorganized in your fandom.

  2. Keeping bats is echolocation, echolocation, echolocation.

  3. A clown drill-sergeant called SGT. LAUGHTER.

  4. Woe be to the adventurer who dismisses the Medusa as merely tits and asp.

  5. In the Garfield take-off on Pulp Fiction, the suitcase is filled with the unholy power of Mondays. It is literally a case of the Mondays.

  6. Okay, but what if we re-make it with Glenn Danzig as DIRTY DANZIG?

  7. “Writing isn’t about creating the person you wished you were, writing is about tearing apart the person you ARE!” I think I’ve come up with the most passive-aggressive writing advice ever.

  8. The better half of storytelling is what’s left out, what an audience fills in with their imagination. It’s what engages them positively, what they actually remember. Knowing Wolverine’s childhood or Professor Grundlebeard’s middle age destroys that back & forth. Kills the magic.
