A local tattoo artist hosted a event today for mental health. Free semi colon tattoos for all survivors. My work donated money to them and I ran down midday to give some flyers to her and she gave me some for us to hand out. Then she told us to come back for our tattoos if we want them. We got two of our clients to go in the 3 hours we had the flyers. Not bad for no notice. They were there getting there’s when I got off work and went back. I added to my tree of life. I was actually the first person she has tattooed. Shes a professional makeup artist. Shes the friend of our billing manager and a client of our clinic. Small work lol. Anyway, she did great. Im happy with it.
Her husband is the artist at the store but all hands on deck for an event like this. She had 6 local artists volunteering and she did myself and my receptionist who came with me…
They had a large canvas they were asking people to sign, as much or as little as they want and I wrote its a reminder that the ink on our story is not dry yet. She is sending it to a local art gallery for more mental health awareness. I thought it was cool. She told me they typically have a week waiting for appts. So I may have my moon piece done there. :)

The semi colon represents mental health?

It's a suicide awareness tattoo. Not a period, it doesn't end, there is more to say. All my nieces have it for my nephew that committed suicide.
