Jesus, I sound like an afterschool special. WATCH AS TIMMY EXPERIENCES NEEDLE-THRASHING PAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Of COURSE, I pick a spot that's massively sensitive (hipbone) and makes you panic at every breath (tummy) and otherwise felt like being stabbed repeatedly with a knife in the abdomen and made me wonder why I agreed to do it. The sub/masochist in me exercises my jedi powers of tuning out the pain. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Clearly this diary (diary? box? whatever.) needs less vodka and MORE TRIBBLES.

"I'm injecting Kahn's platelets into the necrotic tissue of a dead host".
I knew it had to be Star Trek.

Very nice. I am still too terrified to get one.

Timmy™ AnOrangeZebra ⋅ June 09, 2014

What terrifies you, specifically?

AnOrangeZebra Timmy™ ⋅ June 09, 2014

The pain factor. I am a big baby wimp with pain. Needles don't bother me as much as the setting reminding me of being in a doctors office. Oh and a huge trigger for anxiety and feeling like I am going to pass out is any sight of blood. so its not so much the needle itself I am scared of as much as what it could potentially represent.

Timmy™ AnOrangeZebra ⋅ June 10, 2014

I made a point not to even look at the needle or the site until she said she was done. The pain was pretty bad, especially near the hip-bone. I could feel my hands sweat. Adrenaline, man. As I waited for her to say "done", all I saw was my finished work, no blood, and the needle she used actually was pretty small. (I'm terrified of needles.)
