T-minus... in Random Public Stuffs

10 more days til I’m on a plane to Detroit.
11 more days til my birthday!
12 more days til I get to see my Wings play LIVE against the Boston Bruins!!!

I’m excited. I’m getting even more excited as the days pass. First of all, thank you to those of you who’ve noted and texted me. I was thisclose to canceling my trip to use the money for the bills.

But then I talked to everyone. I’ve been waiting for this trip for so long. This was my 40th birthday gift to me. I was told that I wasn’t going to make it to 35 when I had cancer, so 40 was a major milestone for me. Yes, 35-39 were too, but 40 just seems so much bigger.

Then Covid happened and totally ruined it. I angry-cried for a full month…AT least. Then 2021 was all restrictions. So FINALLY, I’m going.

Entry to the DIA alone is $14 USD. According to the site, the cost for the Women’s exhibition is anywhere between $8 - 18 USD. So, thank you for that. That will knock off part of my bucket list.

Speaking of. Here are a couple of things that I could start to knock off that list on this trip, from the website that I use: Mission 101: 101 goals met in 1001 days..
-Visit three new art museums.
-Visit three new planetariums.
-Visit three new landmarks.
-Stay in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
-Get more Tim Horton’s.
-Eat Chicago-style pizza! (It’s been a while and we don’t have anything like that here!)

Of course, knocking the “Catch a Wings game LIVE” will be knocked off that list!!

So, if you can spare a couple of bucks, I’d appreciate it. I’m finally making a damn dent in my bucketlist.
