The Trifecta of Cancers in These Foolish Things

Hey girls and guys (and others, whoever you are), how’s your Tuesday going?

Today I felt like I rested a bit in the between time. Between doc appointments and interviews and insurance bullshit (long story…my COBRA was all fucked up for a while and I had to clear things up yesterday). And I’m in the process of moving my former company’s 401k over to my IRA and in the middle of allll of this…

I got a call back regarding yesterday’s mammogram (I’m trying to catch up on all of my other medical stuff after all of my colon cancer shit), and I have to go back for another diagnostic mammogram AND and ultrasound. Motherfucker. Go away, cancer! Go home! I don’t need any more of your bullshit!

And here’s something else. Tomorrow I have to go to the gyno to get a pap smear, so wouldn’t it be just my luck to get the trifecta of cancers and have that bullshit all up in my VADGE as well?!

I mean, what on earth? How would that be possible? But I googled it, and sure as shit, it IS possible. I’m just over here, jobless and trying to create a new life and have a little bit of enjoyment during this time of unemployment, but I can’t because CANCER feels like it’s lurking in all of my dark places.

GROSS.

Fuck this shit.

I gotta go.

I had to go back last time for a 2nd mammogram and ultrasound. It turned out to just be cysts they saw. I think it's pretty common, but always scary, and especially with your health history. Here's hoping it's a bunch of worry for nothing.

It sucks, but I'm so glad you are keeping on top of your health checks.
