(again, the formatting of this one doesn’t work in prosebox. imagine all the changes)

They say that fortune favours
the bracketed-B
but I live in bracketed-I
and so what of me?

I am hopelessly left-justified
in this so-very right-justified world
with no centre-justifications
to sell off my rough pearls
left alone some profitable
bracketed-URL

I was a Courier once
back in my life and Times, after collapsing plans
I dabbled in stand-up, here and there
but the pay was Comic Sans

the format of this life
is something I
can’t put tabs on
something I can’t understand

all I know is that
when I parse it out
the very best I can
still,

Word fails me
Word fails me
Word fails me.

Very George Carlin-esque.

Thank you for the high praise! Of the stand-up part of my influences, in my top three, with Hicks and Kaufman.
