Double homicide shock in Holy Shit!

So I’m in shock that this beautiful boy is no longer with us, it seems.

I had a shock yesterday afternoon when a bunch of people were sharing ‘missing person’ reports of him, and the link was from NSW police, so I knew it was legit. There were a few news articles around saying that blood-stained clothes were found behind a dumpster bin belonging to both Luke and his partner Jesse, as well as CCTV of a white van belonging to the ex-boyfriend of Jesse driving away. There was also blood-spluttered furniture in Jesse’s house. Neighbours say they had heard yelling on Monday.
More and more news had been filtering through over the last 24 hours, and today I saw the article I dreaded - that the third guy handed himself in and had been charged with double murder.
Yikes.

I think the main reason is the Brisbane gay scene all knows each other (mostly) and Luke only moved to Sydney a few months ago. I was surprised to learn he has/had a partner, as I swear I only saw him on Grindr here a few weeks ago, but who knows what their relationship status is/was. I have to keep typing like this because the bodies are yet to be found.
I was always too shy to message him on Grindr, and he never even looked at my profile, which made sense. I’m way beneath his league haha. Have you seen the guy!?
Not only that, but I believe Luke was the kindest soul ever. I’ve followed his Instagram forever and he is/was always posting something from somewhere beautiful in the world, and is/was a beautiful looking guy himself, so I’d react to quite a few of his photos, of which he pretty much always reacted back to me. I only physically ran into him once, despite us living in the same city all these years, when I was surprised to see he was my flight attendant on my TigerAir (when that existed) flight back from Canberra to Brisbane. I still remember his beaming smile.
But anyway, obviously I don’t/didn’t know-know him like so many others seem to. My Facebook and Instagram are ALL posts and news articles about him. The last 24 hours have been horrible, trying to piece together what happened. How it happened. If either of them are/were still alive. Not having answers. And I still don’t entirely know what happened, but it very much seemed like this crazy cunt ex-lover of Jesse’s shot them both dead and disposed of their bodies somewhere. Luke seems to be the innocent caught-up victim of his partner’s psycho ex. Who was a cop - who had access to a fuckng firearm. Firearms aren’t easy to get in Australia. But obviously, cops can. Fucking hell. Unbelievable.

Its made me think about how short life is (again) and that Luke is/was only 29. He definitely lives/lived his life to the fullest though. Given how popular he was, I assume there may be a memorial for him or something coming up. but yeah they need to find where the fucker put their bodies first.

Not the depressing entry I wanted to write today, but man, I needed to get it out.
