new ear info in Second 1st

I have mixed feelings right now.... and they will stay that way.

The place I keep calling the dentist isn’t.... It’s called Sleep apnea & TMJ Solutions.... he very well may be a doctor.... BUT it’s where I will be going to get an appliance for my mouth to help with the mild apnea.....

We walked in nearly 30 mins early. We’d spent all the time I could stand in the book store without spending a bunch of money.

They had not received my study info yet from Vanderbilt ..... so I want to say the visit would be limited. I told them I could access the info on my phone and we can try to print it from there? … or he can at least look at it on my phone. I’d already signed all the release papers so did it really matter? .... We were able to move forward and they called me back after only the conversation with the receptionist. So that was nice. Went straight to the doctor who was standing at a scanner machine… you know the xray type.... moves around your head… for 3D imaging.

This is where it starts. … I had my head in the chin rest holding two bars on the machine as he said “Just-oh you are” I’d closed my eyes because I predicted it would not go well if I saw the machine moving around my head. Suddenly lights came on and I knew that’s what he was about to say. I left them closed and I heard a high pitched whistle and the power sounds and the wooshing.... and the world moving behind my eyelids and praying I didn’t move… and waiting for it to get worse, the dizziness to screw up the imaging .... and at what point do I holler out when do I ask to stop this, how far is the spin going to go .... no just be still it will pass.... it’s just a moment and it will be over.... and it was over.... and I took a moment… took a few breaths… and moved to the room…

While talking with the doctor/dentist I asked him about this popping that happens in my jaw.... maybe once a month for as long as I can remember.... usually happens when I’m eating and afterwards I can barely open my mouth further than the thickness of a spoon. I tend to give up and take care of the food I won’t be eating. Happened a week and a half ago (last time we got pizza, not the satisfying one but the time before). We went through a series of measurements with my mouth and demonstrations .... and my jaw on the right clicked and he felt it.... on my right… on my Meniere’s ear… and he brought out a little model that demonstrated why that happens. The take away is .... my jaw could have caused Meniere’s … My jaw could be making me dizzy....

The horrible realization.... I could still have the hearing in my right ear had I seen to my jaw before the gentamicin shot that caused my hearing to be gone completely.....

The wonderful possibility.... I could be rid or this fullness in my ear.... the dizziness when I get tired or stressed out.... or for no reason at all.... between treatment for the popping and the dental appliance for the sleep apnea.... Something could change soon.... more… better sleep.... less migraines he said those are possibly cause entirely by the popping jaw.... this really could be a game changer.

Sorry.... I missed it.... you see apparently the cartilage in my jaw joint is out of place.... always.... except when that pop happens it’s popping back into place. It gets out of place again and makes no sound. When it’s out of place my lower jaw is rubbing on and putting pressure on the ear canal.....
