The Question We Keep Avoiding in The Kid Used To Dream

It’s funny - I’ve been thinking about this for about a week. The question has been dancing around in my head and I believe it’s perspective. Let’s answer the baited question that satan gives to non-believers.

If God is a loving God why does he allow....anything.

If God really loved me then why didn’t he end my life the very nanosecond I accepted Jesus? He would have had me in a perfect state before I could have had a chance to reason otherwise. It’s His plan to be reborn in us (John 3) and fill us with His Spirit of truth (John 16:13). That is a deep question. Then, I realized something. These scriptures bear witness to what we keep missing about the Love of God and His being stand-offish. It is about authority and unfortunately we miss the point of who grants it. God, the creator, is bound by HIS own words (Numbers 28:19 and Heb 6:17).

Look at the Garden - there was and IS a necessity for the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Without the knowledge of all things we wouldn’t be typing messages on a computer and sending them thru a little wire. However, at some point - we are given the choice as to whether we will feed off of knowledge AND the tree of life and which one gives us more of what we need. We have plenty of scriptures where the tree of knowledge is acceptable when it’s taken with Jesus (tree of life) together. Study (knowledge) to show thyself approved (2nd Tim 2:15).  Put on the mind of Christ (knowledge) …   (Phil 2:5). You shall KNOW the truth (knowledge).. (John 8:32).  Not last or least - Knowledge is one of the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 12). Then, back to the original question - WHY, then does God allow the bad to happen? He doesn’t allow it because it’s not in His jurisdiction - the world doesn’t belong to Him, it belongs to us. (Gen 1:26) (Psalms 8:4-5) And, you can’t have Jesus without having Adam (1 Cor 15:45). God is a Spirit (John 4:24). Jesus is the body of that Spirit (John 1:1). We are the recipients of how order in the kingdom is to be restored. It seems like a long way around to get to the finale. That is also ultimately upon us. We now know through modern medicine that cells communicate with one another to keep us alive. ([https://www.nature.com/scitable/topic/cell-communication-14122659/] Inside of all of us are cells that over time have replicated and multiplied. The human race is made up of those cells replicating from one another and multiplying. (Gen 1:22). So, what may seem like a million times around the sun, how many times have cells multiplied in a human that is one day old? It took 9 months on the outside, but how long did it feel to the single cell? It’s part of the grand plan to allow humans to choose what is good and evil, then decide that given the authority that was handed to us BACK to the Father to be Lord of our lives. (Psalms 25). Then Jesus gives us Luke 10:19 - He gives US authority that nothing will harm us. The struggle comes when decide we don’t want to believe in Him or deny Him in our lives - 2 Cor 4:4.

John 15:19 Jesus says - you are not of this world - you are in it, but not of it.  2nd Cor 4:4 says that the god of this world has blinded the MINDS (knowledge) of the non-believer.

So, if satan is the god of this world then what authority does the CREATOR have to stop what we allow satan to do?  Look at Job - satan approaches God and says - have you considered him?  Let me have my way with him and watch him curse you! So, in all honesty the reason good people and children die is not the work of the creator but the god of the world. We were given the opportunity to accept the fact that the human race is not of this world - we are in it, but not of it. We allow the god of this world to blind the unbeliever. The ONLY thing we have is unity and the love of God in us. (Col 1:27). Jesus prayed that we would be ONE even as He and the Father are one as a testimony - that the world may believe. (John 17:21)

Our choices (Adam & Eve) have consequences. Each thought and action has the potential to make God alive and powerful in our lives or crucify Jesus into silence. (Rom 12:2, Heb 4:12, Rom 10:17, Eph 6:10-24, Mark 6:5).

So, for all the bad that seems to happen to good people, given credit to the god of this world - seems appropriate. I am not of the world, I am in it but not of it. The King of Kings has prepared a place for me where none of these things should ever take place and until I am there with Him I must endure. (Matt 24:13).

I am sure I have my share of mistakes.. I may have taken some things out of context and pray that I haven’t. But from my understanding - what happens in this world is the result of the god of this world. What happens in the Spirit, is a result of the authority I allow Holy Spirit to operate inside and through me. It ultimately begins with love.
