when I start asking questions about their relationships.
People who get angry at questions about themselves are terrified. They know that they are not worth loving if the definition of love is
“Our involuntary response to virtue if we are virtuous.”
And if one knows, deep down, that their relationships are based on nothing more than rank sentimentality, classist parental bonds, and physical proximity, then one has no virtue. And if virtue is required for love, then one can have no love, and cannot be loved.
Until the first virtue is embraced- Honesty- there cannot even be acknowledgement of this basic reality.
So, there is a lot of fog to obscure this basic reality: Anxiety. Depression. Self Attack. Success Avoidance. Addiction. Distraction. Ambivalence. Isolation.
And then the anger as defense comes out when I ask about it.

People who are self actualized do not get angry at questions.
