I do not understand those who can spend an inordinate amount of time searching and applying for jobs. I just spent three hours applying to one posted two days ago, AND IT’S ALREADY FILLED. I think I lost a few days off my lifetime.

For being tech-savy, I really don’t understand how to FIND jobs. I keep hearing about temp agencies, but google-fu isn’t really helping much. I don’t get it. I just don’t get it. I’m too olde for this shit. I wish someone could just hand me five cards with different jobs and say “Pick one, and you’ll do it whether you like it or not.”

Because I have never answered that “what do you want to be when you grow up?” question.

I applied for at least 60 jobs over the course of 3 months before getting hired for one. "Immediately hiring work from home" was the search string that finally did the trick on Indeed.com. Dice.com was the more heavily technical jobs that either I didn't qualify for or that didn't interest me.

RatRaceRebellion.com is a job board that lists legitimate work from home jobs. That's where I found my last temporary job, working customer support for MasterClass.com from November to January.

I applied for one job that was like driving the Google Earth car, but for Adecco. It would have been fun and easy money, and I'm mad they never emailed me back.

Good luck!

Good luck job searching in the times of Covid. :(
