This is in my Caesar Dressing.

This is why I can’t be bothered to be vegan or any of that other crap. All things in moderation, including moderation.

If you overthink, your brain will blue screen of death.

Sure, eat vegetables. Limit red meat. Makes sense. Not arguing with that.

And then there’s the matter of the migrant works who pick your food.

No matter what we do, we lose.

I digress already.

Pick your poison, and own it. Be honest with yourself.

“The first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth, whether it’s scientific truth or historical truth or personal truth! It is the guiding principle on which Starfleet is based! If you can’t find it within yourself to stand up and tell the truth about what happened, you don’t deserve to wear that uniform!” - Captain Jean-Luc Picard

There is strange shit in food, to be sure.

Cue the multiple phases of learning about Monsanto.

That's quite an onion. A GMO onion. I really don't know a lot about it though, I haven't done a lot of research.

Going off memory.

Monsanto genetically engineered food. That in itself isn't the issue. Bigger, stronger, more resilient crops? Cool. Genetically modified food won't intrinsically harm us.

The issue is they trademarked the genetics. And the pesticide used. So, you can only buy the seeds from Monsanto. And only buy the pesticide from Monsanto.

I don't need to fill in the blanks of why trademarking DNA is an issue.

Selectively raise all the cows you want. After all, given enough time, someone else could reproduce the results.

Genetically engineer a potato that only you can sell? On a long enough timeline, humans will tinker with their offspring's DNA and somehow screw it all up. See: Khan Noonien Singh.

Scary. At least to me.

I get you, it sounds scary.

Well, since I am an Apple fanboy, my brain will do the spinning beachball of death.
