Give Me Tips for Mental Exhaustion in Weight Loss Surgery

This is not exactly a weight loss related entry.

For those who don’t know - I got weight loss surgery this past winter and I was thinking that once I lost 50lbs I would get this BURST of energy like everyone else seemed to have. 50lbs ago I always ALWAYS tired and I thought if I lost weight that tiredness would go away.

But now I’ve lost near 60lbs (I’m in the 230’s now) and while I DO think I have more energy than I did before the surgery - it’s not as much as I thought I would have…

I’m wondering how much weight do I have to lose to not want to go to be at 7pm!

And then I read an article about how physical exhaustion is different than mental exhaustion and how you can be mentally tired while physically alert and vice versa.

My job is a sit down office job but I AM busy and I think I worry more than most about making a mistake on my tasks - and beating myself when I do make a mistake - and I think that makes me mentally exhausted even though I’ve barely gotten up from my chair.

And then I go home and just want to veg on the couch while it seems like everyone else goes for walks, clean their houses, go to the grocery store and other errands than I have no motivation to do.

How do you all refresh your brain after work to somehow get that 2nd wind after 5pm to not just eat dinner and go to bed?

It is just my weight still holding me back and when I get under 200lbs then that energy will come?

I’m worried I’m going to lose 100 lbs and still feel like a lazy tired bum…

i think a lot of it is because you're not eating that many calories.. which is obviously a good thing for now. once you stabilize into a happy weight and eat more, i think you'll feel more energized.

I guess you're right.
I forget how little I'm eating cause I feel full when I eat but it probably isn't enough to sustain a 23? lb person
