Dead Skunk In The Middle Of The Road in Life After 60

Every generation believes their music was the best. For us baby boomers we know that to be false. Ours was the best. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, and the list goes on and on. (sorry to disappoint, I was not an Elvis fan.)
On a short piece of highway, I travel each day I noticed three dead skunks. You can’t help but notice them!!! Have you ever been sprayed by a skunk? Let me tell you, it is an experience like no other and you never forget it.
Sometimes in life, you just have to accept the things that come your way, even when they stink. Of course, it is better to avoid the situation if at all possible.
Today as I made the journey down the highway I was reminded of an old fable I once heard. A pitbull can whip a skunk in a fight every time, but you have to ask yourself is it worth the stink? As Kenny Rogers sang, You have to know when to hold ‘em, and know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away and know when to run!

I have to agree that your generation and before had some of the best music. However, the 90s werent that bad, but that's about when it all went to shit. I'd say about '98 was the exact year, when the whole pop artists and boy bands came out, then it all just became about the image. Sure the 80s was more image too, but they had musical talent.

I watch classic rock music videos or live concerts and notice that some of the best musicians weren't attractive at all, but they had talent and that's all that mattered. Nowadays, you have to reflect an agenda(Billie Elish, with the refuse to be sexy feminist position, even though her music sucks) or have certain body measurements that are grossly extreme(like Nicki Minaj or Cardi B) and dance around shaking their ass and rapping. Or the men have to have a bad boy image or be sensitive. One extreme or another. If music was still based off the actual music, rather than image, there'd probably be a lot more enjoyable music through out the generations.
