Golden Years in Life After 60

Whoever came up with the idea that 65+ was the Golden Years was either wealthy beyond measure or an idiot! I lean more toward the latter, but that may be because one leg is shorter than the other.
As I approach those years, I look back and think about how I wasted my life when I should have been preparing for the time when I can’t or don’t want to work anymore. I have a couple of large debts that will be paid off in two years so I might just be able to at least cut back to part-time. I want to travel and see some of the great wonders there are in the U.S.
What I am discovering is the reason these are called the golden years, you better have a lot of gold to survive the silver in your hair. But I am blessed with a job that isn’t too physically demanding and I really enjoy it. Maybe I should invest in GameStop…

Yeah I don't know why people wait until retirement or "golden years" to travel it's like people should travel when they're young relatively healthy & hot ... not half broken and old and incontinent
