Chapters in your book... in Free Therapy

Sometimes you turn the pages in your book and it is something you expected. For example, you spend a crazy amount of time with this thing growing inside of you and BAM the next chapter is you learning how to take care of this screaming tiny thing that is totally dependent upon you to stay alive. No pressure at all right, no pressure.
Other times you turn the page and there is a layoff. Sometimes that isn’t enough you need it to be really super hard to find a job and have 4 more layoffs on top of the first one which then sends your whole way of life into a tailspin. All those plans and BAM, it’s over,
The ones I really don’t like are the ones where you turn the page and someone you love has passed to another book. The only way they can be in your book now is via a memory. Those chapters are so hard, but somehow they get pushed back into your book while new stuff is being written.
People are coming in and out and in and out. Some are awesome, some not so much, but they each make a mark on your life in one way or another.
I miss the chapter in my book from when I was first married. I had not a care in the world. I was so young I just did not understand a lot of what this whole world entailed. My husband and I were just happy and we traveled and explored together. The world was a different place back then as well. Imagine not having the internet with you every second of the day?! We had internet at home, but our phones were flip phones. The world seemed to be a much better place back then.
The chapter before the one I am currently in was one of the worst yet. I was beyond depressed. I wished that I was dead all the time. I cried and cried and everything seemed so useless.
The one I am in now though is amazing. I was talking with my husband last night. 4 months ago our life was SO different, and 4 months ago I was so different. I have had the best 55 days ever. I am still in shock over how life can change so much so quickly!
So how about you? Want to share about one of your chapters?

Like flipping pages in a book. Life. I quite like that analogy.
