Much needed good news in My life....I can't make this shit up!

Brian sent me a text message today saying he had “awesome news” then took forever to answer me when I asked what it was! He is being promoted to Assistant Manager of his office. I’m so proud of him! He’s worked so hard for this. He said his manager told him that he “has been doing the work now deserves the title and increase.” It’s an extra $3,000 a year! I mean, when you do the math it’s like an extra $57 a week. It’s better than nothing! And he’s not going to have the crazy hours because his office is going straight Monday to Friday 8 to 5. It’s also a relief because it means we don’t have to move out of the area! We still have to move by December, but at least we’re not moving three hours north away from all of our friends and family.
I’ve been chugging along at the office today, playing nice with the boss and everyone else. I’m working really hard at not doing much work. In the Navy we called it “Skating off,” that’s what I’m trying to do. I have about an hour of work left so....here’s to a quiet hour!!
