If it’s not one thing, it’s another... in My life....I can't make this shit up!

Really....Sometimes I feel like we just don’t catch a break. The Mental Health world is … well.....crazy. I’m down a case manager so I have a bunch of intensive client’s I’m trying to help, on top of my managerial duties. If that’s not bad enough our building has not been able to survive the monsoons we’ve been having here in South Florida. We’ve had several leaks recently that were getting progressively worse. Our administration claims they’re looking for contractors to put a new roof on the building. Since they took their sweet time doing this our building couldn’t withstand the rain. Yesterday morning we came into a whole section of hallway with tiles on the floor along with about two inches of water. The water seeped through the walls and into several offices saturating the carpets. One of those offices happened to be our injection clinic, so now the “sterol” office is beyond contaminated. Walking through the building there was a psychiatrists office with water POURING out of the ceiling. Our large SAVON copier took a nice bath as well. They allowed us to work in the building yesterday so we could pack all of our stuff up that we would need on a daily basis because they’re relocating 90% of the staff from that office into our Learning Center (which also happens to be their other office under my boss and myself).
So today, we’ve moved in and are going ape shit crazy trying to find phones and internet connections for everyone so IT can (hopefully) get in here this weekend to set everyone up. Our CEO has determined no one is to work in the other building until it is completed fixed. This will be a while. I also doubt it will be “completely” fixed. To “complete fix” the building they’ll need to replace the insulation, get into some walls and replace them, tear up and replace carpets. My agency isn’t going to do that. They’ll probably put some large fans/blowers on the floors and say it’ll be fine. It won’t be. Our security guy went there this morning and said the entire office smells of mold already. Ugh. Not cool.
Sadly now there’s no way to get away from the boss. I can’t run into my office and shut the door anymore. I can’t send her over to the Learning Center to get away from me. Hell, she wanted me to WORK IN HER DAMN OFFICE! I told our secretary if that happened I would need her service dog to keep me calm. So, I found myself a desk in the back corner of one of our shared offices and made myself comfy on my iPad.

This is gonna be fun......
