The kids are trying to get into their first week of school. Techincally they had school last week, but this week is new haha.
So last week was orientation and it was blah. Oh my god. They each have 4-8 classes online and each orientation was brain bleedingly the same. Yes we know how to use this, yes we know internet safety blah blah blah. Anyway turns out half the kids rushed or ignored it and we had to go back today and finish them. Which just means marking complete after loading 8-10 pages. Per class. It was annoying. But we got through it.

Then two of my kids thought they could get ahead by half assed submitting documents without ACTUALLY doing the work. They just submitted blanks. So the “to do” list said ahead. But their actual scores said 40-60 % So we are going back today and redoing them. Then today is also the day most of them have zoom classes. One at 10, 11, 10 30, 2, 3, 330 haha. For two kids. So we are alternating going online with zoom classes. Even though they dont have to go online for the classes. Its good to get some brain work with the teacher.

I got a wall calender to schedule out their online classes and chores. New house means new chore list. Now there So one week its kitty litter, dog poop, sweep and mop. Next is dishes counters and fridge, then laundry. And as my two younger boys get more capable ill split the poop floor day into two weeks and alternate one kid per chore set per week. Thats on top of the typical cleaning, bathroom, room, trash out ect. But i alternate a weekly chore “zone” that helps them have time to do it well and get it done fully throughout the week.

Do i think we will keep up on this school haha. No fracking clue. Its a bit over involved for my tastes. But i would like my highschooler at least to work on it a while. However hes hitting his head on the wall with geometry and english. But he did pick a classic novel to read. Lord of the Flies. I looked at his list and suggested that one to him, He read the back and said yeah ill do that one. Didnt look at the rest lol. I said All quiet on the western front maybe? Its a war novel. He made a eh face. We will see.

Im working more with my 9yo right now. Hes doing native american studies and we are working slowly on going through that. Its really hard dividing your attention 5 ways when they all do school at the same time. So im trying to do one kid at a time. I did 3 assignments in math with my 6 yo. Redirected my 11 YO to his assignments 5 times and put my 13 yos assignments on my computer so that he can work in the living room where i can watch him. I managed to get half a row down on another pocket shawl while jumping through kiddo hoops.

Lunch break and zoom classes start in half an hour. Soooo… joys.

Im working on a second pocket scarf seeing the first one was scooped up right away! I love that its going to be loved somewhere! So i started another one lol. Im also going to test another knit cowl for same designer of the lace angora one. This one will be in tonal alpaca. Its called a basket of flowers. The bottom half is basketweave and the top has flower design in the wool. Going to be fun i think!! Thank goodness she gives you 3 months to finish a test. I have no idea how long its going to take me lol. I can do it in a dozen hours sure. But i dont get a lot of hours to sit and work on it. Mom life lol. At least it keeps my hands busy.
Welp time to get off my computer and put Co back on so he can go to zoom and do another assessment.
