OOf, but a good Oof in Book Seven: Reconstruction 2020

Yesterday went off script pretty quickly but in a good way… ultimately.

When I got home, my original intention was to just grab Nala and go. But I got some disturbing mail. A notice for Property Tax due. To the tune of… well… a damned sight more than I’m willing to pay in addition to my mortgage! So I made a call to my bank to have them look into the escrow issue. Which also kind of irked me. Because the property tax notice stated the deed was Christopher and Nancy. Now… this is another area of complication. Due to the original agreement given to the Uncontested Lawyer… Nancy agreed to sign a quitclaim deed on the house thereby absolving her of the debt liability while also agreeing to be severed from any potential asset benefits. The agreement was “Nancy can move anywhere and would not have any reasonable means to pay the mortgage debt; Christopher must remain in the county and has the reasonable means to pay the mortgage debt.” But of course this quitclaim deed is yet another item of paperwork that has never materialized.

After dealing with that, I drove Nala and I down to Ames. Big walk and banking with receipts to prove things like exactly how much money is in the accounts and how much was transferred to what when where. As I was in Ames, I decided… schedule be damned… and went to visit my brother. Of course… masks, social distancing, no touching, etc. But it was really good to talk to my brother, SIL, and niece. Talking with my SIL about the divorce is nice because you can see that it honestly bothers her… like, she wells with tears when I struggle and fumes with anger at the unjust parts. And Nala got to play with Ole and meet chickens! Oh, Nala and those chickens. They broke her tiny little mind! lol.

Of course this meant that I didn’t get home until around 9:00… at which point I could have tried to get my loooooooong to-do list done but I figured… too tired, too in a place… ultimately, there was nothing that couldn’t really be taken care of some other time. So I cracked my neck and back in a few places; and got to some writing. When suddenly I got a phone call. I never get phone calls at night unless they are work related. So I answered the phone. SURPRISE: It was Victoria! She almost always texts so the phone call was strange. She asked to come over and I figured… why not?! I’m giving her family a mini-fridge I haven’t used since college (but lug around everywhere) and if that isn’t why she wants to come over, I could use cuddling and Dr. Who! When she arrived she was wearing something very sexy and instead of the usual hug greeting, greeted me with several excellent kisses. As a matter of respecting what THIS space is… I won’t go into too much detail. I will say that my test results have not returned, so there was absolutely zero interactions with Victoria and my genitalia (other than, she did finally see them). I did not masturbate nor bring myself to orgasm nor were my genitals involved at all. Suffice it to say, though, that what did occur last night was one of the most intense and gratifying sexual experiences of my life.

After Victoria left, I genuinely considered self-relief… she said that she’d be curious to know about that if I did… but decided against it. Either it would knock me out entirely or wake me up completely and neither result seemed desired at that point. So I simply lay in bed, raging erection remaining, and drifted off to sleep with thoughts of the evening in my head.

Which is why when I woke up… my condition was truly surprising. I woke up drenched with sweat, somewhat incoherent, and definitely weak. I would have sworn I’d been drinking the night before if there had even been a slim chance of that being the truth! My head is still not quite right, like I’m somehow underwater a little. I stumbled around the house a bit. Got my shit together. Went in to work.

Which is, again, stupid in the present day. The judge for today is still on mandatory quarantine. Many of the attorneys we deal with are still trying to pick up the debris and devastation in Cedar Rapids, Ames, and Marshalltown. My work THINGS TO DO was completed by 8:30! So now I have 7 and a half hours of just.... sitting at my desk… doing fuck all.

Though, of course, I do have phone calls to make of a personal nature that I can and will do.
Follow up on the escrow issue.
Call yet another attorney to see if someone will/can take my divorce case.
Take and Deliver a Urine Sample to the Testing Facility
Call my Energy Company to fix the Billing Address
Call even yet another attorney to see if someone will/can take my divorce case because I really want to get this initiated so that OTHER THAN VOLUNTARY FRIENDSHIP/DOG ISSUES of which I can legally tell Nancy to fuck off, I don’t have to deal with Nancy’s issues anymore.

That’s all phone call stuff. After work… obviously the usual Walk Nala and all of that. BUT I am also running out of work shirts so I really need to do laundry. AND I need to pay the utility bill which I can do as I walk Nala. AND there is a Roll20 game. AND Victoria is coming to pick up a mini-fridge I’m getting rid of. AND I need to put the trash out today.

SO… work hours may be dumb and pointless today but I do have to (hafta hafta hafta) get a lot done tonight! As for the rest of the week? Pretty much the same. Wednesday is a “Tidy and Dishes and Laundry unless Victoria” and Thursday is a “Tidy and Dishes and Laundry unless Nancy” and Friday is a “Tidy and Dishes and Laundry and Tidy Tidy Tidy.... clean house, damn you!”. Then Saturday is either… Nancy comes over and honestly starts packing some of her shit… or I do.

Now… I may write another entry today. Chances are REALLY GOOD as I still have 7 work hours to burn. But I think this particular entry is good and done :)
