Today, my grandfather would have been 101. He was the best. I realize that I don’t really have daddy issues because he loved me. He and my uncles protected us, did for us. Even when my cousins would talk bad about our dad, we didn’t really care. Well. We cared. We were conflicted, but as kids, that doesn’t stick.

Yesterday, me and the son went to my sister’s again for the 4th. I felt some kind of way about helping put up flag decorations, but didn’t care too much to start a rant. I was just glad I made it in one piece. People drive so recklessly. My son even said this is why he is afraid to drive and afraid to learn how to drive. I don’t blame him. These people are maniacs. And it turns me to my more maniac side. I just pray my temper won’t find me on the news for beating someone’s ass. It is THAT serious.

At my sister’s, we were monitoring what my son eats. I told him meat, potato salad, fruit and Doritos. Spaghetti is made with wheat, so that was out. He ate and he was fine. He wondered why potato salad didn’t bother him. I told him that even though it was creamy, no cream was actually used to make it. It’s non-dairy. Eggs don’t seem to bother him, but milk does. So he ate what he had and felt fine. He got tempted and had a piece of cake and started feeling some kind of way. So now it seems to be apparent. My son has developed a gluten and lactose intolerance. But we love cheese. And I mean it. My diet will change at home because I’m not buying separate foods.

Yesterday, I made stuff with my pie crust. That was a great pie crust. I used egg and sugar for the first time. Gave it an almost…I don’t know. It was good though. Very flaky. Not quick to crumble. Some actual body without being dense like cake or just tasting like cooked dough. Anyway…

That’s all I got this morning. I think my daughter will be braiding my hair today. We will see.

Take care.

Kindest regards,
Sister
