It's just allergies....I hope. in My life....I can't make this shit up!

I’m working from home today because I feel like shit. I got to bed late because I was up talking to my sister on the phone. I couldn’t tell you the last time we held an actual conversation, we’re not that close. Never were. Large age difference.
Anyway, while we were on the phone I started feeling like shit. My eyes itched so bad and were watery. I started sneezing and my nose started running. Why my allergies waited until nearly midnight to start I don’t know.
I didn’t feel much better waking up. I actually couldn’t open my eyes this morning. Brian had to bring me a wet cloth so I could wipe them because they were basically stuck closed. I decided I was going to bring Cam to my folks, get my ipad and files from work, and work from home.
It’s been nice working from home today. I am getting rest and answering calls. Even slowly getting other work done. My eyes still hurt so bad. They’re not as watery but they burn and itch and my sinuses are still kind of clogged. My face has that heavy feeling.
I am hoping these are just allergies and not the beginnings of corona. The last few weeks I’ve been going into the office daily and I’ve had interaction with several different clients. One who’s mother reports the client has corona, but this particular client is completely homeless on the streets and injecting drugs. I’m sure corona isn’t the only thing this guy has. Anyway, we also had dinner at my in-laws yesterday with the whole family. Two of Brian’s nephews are first responders. One is a police officer and the other is a firefighter/EMT. The firefight/EMT and I ended up building my father-in-law’s new office chair together.
I know all about the incubation period and symptoms, so part of me (the rational part) is saying it’s too early if my exposure was at my in-laws yesterday and that my symptoms (coughing, sneezing, runny nose, itchy watery eyes, no fever) line up mostly with allergies than covid19. Also, my lack of sleep may have something to do with it too. Then there’s my crazy irrational part that says I need to get tested and I need to self isolate for 2 weeks and not go into the office. So I have decided that if I still feel bad tomorrow, than I’ll contact a testing site and get tested. I’m going to push through the last two hours of my day, drive to the other side of the city to pick up our groceries (because that’s the only store who had pick up today) and get some much needed rest when I come home.

Id wait a few days to get tested. Because of the incubation period, a positive test usually doesnt come till 3-10 days after exposure. Your symptoms (especially the eye and sneezing) sound a lot like the allergy issues a lot of us are dealing with.

I totally understand how you feel though. Im super nervous and irrational about COVID as well. Hope you feel better

Thanks! All the fear mongering on TV doesn't help. I actually ended up clocking out of work early and I took a 2 hour nap. Thankfully I feel a bit better. My eyes still itch and burn, but I can breathe again this evening!
