RABBITS!!

My roo roo needed a shave today.
We started out with Jack loose like almost always and then brought in Clover. We arranged to breed one of my english girls Ariel later this week and I want to breed clover ( shes french) So we brought clover in and checked her vent. Shes nice and pinkish red. Close to ready to breed. So we did a sanitary shave on her. Clean up her belly and vent area o shes easier to breed so the boy can connect. Breeding rabbits isnt as easy as the jokes haha. So once she was done we let her show off for Jack ( hes inside in a cage all the time) she was presenting her rear to him, and generally acting like a hussy lol. Shes ready for her first litter for sure. Then we grabbed Rooster because he had some mats. Turns out the mats ive been clipping down have been getting worse. Despite me clipping mats down ( but never to the skin because its winter and gets cold! He needs his wool to stay warm!) And he gets his weekly blowout too. So my sister grabbed her grooming shears ( shes a dog groomer) and i got mine out. She had two blades i had one. and at some times needed B to help hold him in position while we shaved him to the skin. There were two mats we couldent quite get off so shes going to get a different blade at work tomorrow and we can take the rest off. For the meantime Rooster gets a rat cage to chill in on top of jacks pen. He cant go back outside with NO hair. He needs some wool to keep him warm and right now hes naked. My hubby wont be pleased. But i dont have a coat for him right now. I left them in Alaska, They need a polar fleece coat for a week or so when you do winter shaving. Otherwise they cant keep warm well. Either way its easier to put him in the house.

Earlier today we took Jack to pick up my nephew. My sister and I went. We hit up Petco and Michaels with Jack too lol. He is SO social he LOVES people lol. So yeah Rabbitry is going well!

We planned two breedings. Ariel is going to meet up a handsome fawn ( orangy color) boy and Clover and Jack will get their time on Thursday lol. Maybe ill breed my other two girls with her boys if she dosent mind too. She has a tort and a ermine too oh and a BEW ( blue eyed white) but i cant use him. Hes a vienna carrier ( how his eyes are blue) and i wont do that into my herd. Its pretty but no. We will see on Thursday. Otherwise i should just sell my English girls. If im not going to breed them. Im not entirely sure yet.
Anyway ill leave you with some Jack in the flers. He was jack in a purse at the store ( cardboard in the bottom to stiffen it up so he can sit in it easily. He didnt even pee or poop in the car!!
