Hahahahahah, my dad came by. He’s doing my moms brakes and just goes “hi!” like everythings ok. I said hi and went to my room.
Of course as soon he leaves I get called out by mom and she gives me some horseshit about being the bigger person and trying to keep some semblance of family “no matter how dysfunctional”, going.
Fuck that, I don’t care what the crybaby tweeker thinks, oh boo hoo, so I didn’t come running up to him exclaiming “HI DADDY I MISSEDED YOU DADDY!” He’s had 2 weeks now to call us or ask how we are, but noooo, the world needs to bow to him and give into him; I told mom I wouldn’t do that, told her the only reason I mostly ever deferred to him in anything is because I was living under his roof. Got all pissed and said I still needed to be the bigger person and that she’d bear the brunt of his anger. What a crock of shit. Go back into your garage, old man.
He once described his meth use as “I’m out there (in the garage) minding my own business.”
He doesn’t deserve anything from me, I really don’t care what happens to him at this point and it might hurt my mom but I’m not going to be forced into caring.

self-care is important.
catering to addicts isn't.
