As the title indicates, I seem to only write when things go wrong. Really, there hasn’t been anything exciting going in the last few months. We’ve taken a step away from the theatre. I was too burnt out, and I think Brian and Cam were too. We looked back and realized we had been going almost two years in the local theatres without any break. After great consideration we backed away from the last project we were going to do. That show, Love, Sex, and the IRS - is in production now. We had the chance to see the show opening weekend. The cast did great. I mean, granted things would have been very different if he and i were still in the project and had creative say, however we were very grateful to be able to stay home in the evenings, help Cameron with his homework (because he’s in middle school now…WHAT!) and refocus on ourselves. They called me last week and asked if I would Understudy for an actress that is having family issues and is fearful she may have to leave the state during the run. Initially I was told that it would only be a possibility. So I watched rehearsal (and hopefully the cast makes use of the few they have left because…wow....not good). Then I was told that the actress wants me to learn the entire part so she can “take a break” if she doesn’t need to leave town. Uhh, what? No. Sorry. You committed to a role. That means you do the show. Granted if she has a legit family emergency and has to leave I will gladly step in. I told the director that I will come to tech week, observe the show to familiarize myself with it, and go on with a book if need be. But I will not give her a “break” because she doesn’t want to go on stage. Fuck. That.
I’m feeling like a failure recently though. Financially things are a massive struggle. My ex has stopped paying child support (again) so that’s $400 a month I’ve lost. Because I got the promotion at work, I now have to pay full price for Cameron’s insurance. That shot up from $22 a month to $230. All because I make $300 over the limit. So yeah. Not cool. It’s been a major struggle, then we’re told that the landlord wants to sell the house. We talked him into allowing us to rent for one more year, then he comes back with upping the rent by $115 a month. He also offered a month to month, which I will not take because just as easy as it would be for us to leave, it would be for him to tell us to get out as well. I’m trying real hard to improve my credit score by 30 points so I can get a mortgage via the VA loan. This is one of those instances where I wish I had listened to everyone when I was younger and cared about my credit score.
I just don’t know what to do. We can barely get by as it is. I can barely afford to get food in my house. Now all of these increased expenses, plus the holidays around the corner. I just am ready to give up. I really don’t know what to do. All afternoon I’ve been playing with the numbers and trying to figure out where I can rob Peter to pay Paul and keep money in the bank account.
Anyone have the winning lottery numbers???

Ahhh I feel you with that struggle, and I hope for change for you. It's hard enough to provide without all of these obstacles. My ex refuses to pay support, also. He has had a warrant on him for non-payment since June. It's awful. If I get those numbers, I'll share.
