Blissful Ignorance in Poetry

Twisted dogma
Perfected our karma
Blissful ignorance
Is stolen with a kiss
I’m a ghost
In a world
Trapped by desire
For those that see
Cannot perceive pass the dream

Corrupting vanity
Abusing the sins
That I plague myself in
There is no salvation
There is no forgiveness
Death bears no name
I am the unborn lie
Nailed to time
As I’m used and betrayed
By the words they say

Past memories
Have become the mask
Of our hourglass
Dreaming of what was
Fantasizing about what will become
Only know that
We decay
Inside the sand
And time
Isn’t in our hands
