Poor Start in Book Six: Trying to Hold On 2019

Today got off to a poor start.

Woke up at 4 and felt like something had attacked my tongue! Maybe it is an inflamed taste bud, maybe I chomped it hard in my sleep. I don’t know. It certainly woke me up!

So I’m awake at 4:00 a.m. and certainly unable to return to sleep. I decide to take the alone time to play some video games and “work out my frustrations.” An act I was able to accomplish twice between 4 and 7. Ultimately, one of the things that came to mind during that, was how easy and predictable and uncomplicated I truly am. What is going to get my motor running more than anything? Willing, eager consent and encouragement from an individual I find attractive. Amber Hahn in a dress and wearing her glasses explaining how badly she wants to be filled while pleasuring herself? Does it. Emily Addison striping out of a blouse/skirt professional combo down to lingerie/stockings/heels before pleasuring herself? Does it. I’m not that complicated… I’m never going to be the guy that says, “I can’t get off unless you’re stroking me with a Prince action figure while I humiliate a pheasant to the tunes of Bavarian Monks chanting in Pig Latin.” I mean… granted… I’m certainly a curious sort and willing to try just about anything if it pleases my partner… but I don’t need a whole hell of a lot.

I get on the road to work and… the gorram freaking construction has grown. Grown without growing. Can someone tell me WHY 10 miles of road needs to be closed in order to fix less than 1 mile of bridge? Seriously. It makes ZERO sense to close a HUGE portion of the road… require a Pilot Car to escort Vehicles… all to fix one half of one small bridge that goes over a small creek. Seriously… what the fuck.

Get in to work and am notified of a hearing that wasn’t on my schedule. SHOULD be no big deal. Probably. Possibly. Maybe. But it is a weird law being charged. And I’m certain that the defendant will use the Mom Defense. She turns 30 this year and has SEVEN children. None of them twins. So, while I can certainly appreciate and understand that she could well have only started having kids when she was 22… that is still a fuckton of kids to have as a young couple. But we’ll see if that is what she claims… I can’t pay a traffic ticket because of my brood.

Then I made the mistake of checking facebook. Racist Alt-Right Hyper Trumpist Cousin is at it again.
Post 1: Humor about non-consensual anal sex
Post 2: Bitching that the President isn’t respected and Police shouldn’t be charged with crimes and every baby should be born no matter the circumstances
Post 3: Calling all Muslims “jihadists” and stating that the Koran requires it so why isn’t killing them instantly self defense?
Post 4: Saying that anyone who bitches about low minimum wage should shut the fuck up and work in construction for higher pay; otherwise they are lazy and deserve to make nothing
Post 5: Outright calling Joe Biden a rapist and stating that he’s a bad person
Post 6: Stating that any CEO who suggests Background Checks on Gun Purchases is blatantly trying to remove the 2nd Amendment and should have his or her company taken away from them

ALL of that… within about 20 minutes. From Post 1 to Post 6. It just… it really shows you how dangerous and destructive Social Media can be. HE doesn’t read the news, watch the news, or trust the news beyond FOX NEWS. Openly calls CNN liberal trash, the BBC globalist propaganda, and doesn’t listen to anyone that he doesn’t agree with. SO what does Social Media do? Amplifies his echo chamber. Gives him misguided, hateful, misinformed “stories” and memes at the pace of an avalanche to confirm and encourage all of his basest, lowest, most damning beliefs. THIS is dangerous. THIS is bad. THIS is how Trump won.

SO.... that’s where I am to start my day. 4 am to 9 am so far.

And now… the news:
From the BBC: William Barr: Five questions for US attorney general. Robert Mueller himself is reportedly upset at Barr for his mischaracterization of the Mueller Report. I’m willing to give Mr. Barr a chance to explain himself… but I think he should be terminated as he’s destroyed his credibility and the notion that the Department of Justice is a non-partisan entity… which it is required to be!

From the BBC: Trump sues Deutsche Bank and Capital One over Democratic subpoenas. For those just joining us, this is Donald Trump… a man who has continually said that he’d release his tax returns after they were not “under audit”. His own IRS has said that’s bullshit. The House of Representatives using their constitutionally granted subpoena powers have requested Donald Trump’s financial records from the source. This is not more “witch hunt or presidential harassment.” It has LONG been rumored that Deutsche Bank is a firm that launders money for Russian Oligarchs. Along with those rumors comes suspicion that Deutsche Bank continues to loan millions and millions of dollars to Donald Trump (despite the repeated bankruptcies) because he is either a willing or unwitting part of the Russian Oligarch Money Laundering Scheme. The truly lame thing? Trump is likely not even fighting this to protect himself from Criminal Issues. His paper-thin skin is obsessed with people thinking he’s worth more money than he actually has. He’s fighting this strictly so people think he’s worth more mney than he actually has!! Oh, but don’t worry… despite him illegally telling his staffers to ignore subpoenas and despite suing his own financial institutions to prevent them from honoring subpoenas… he said just recently that he is the most transparent President ever. Uhm… either he honestly doesn’t know what the word “transparent” means or he’s even crazier than we thought.

From CNN: Mueller revelations turn spotlight on Barr’s independence. My opinion of Bill Barr’s summary and characterization of the report are well known. I’ve already included them in this entry. The fact that Bill Barr did not disclose Mueller’s frustrations to the Committee? Might cause even more burn. You don’t have to tell The American People (they’ll find out anyway). But you DO have to disclose things to the Committee when it appears that the investigators want the attorney to correct or reframe an element of the testimony. Can you imagine how much shit I’d get in if an officer told me, “You made my investigation seem like I turned up nothing. I’m disappointed in that characterization as I routinely found evidence linking the co-defendant.” and I DIDN’T make sure the judge/defense/jury knew that shit? After reading the letter… I imagine Bob is pissed.

From CNN: The Mueller report: A catalog of 77 Trump team lies and falsehoods. As the Washington Post over the weekend documented Donald Trump’s 10,000th official lie of his presidency; I felt this was a good inclusion.

Damn. I need to watch some uplifting as hell Anime or something. Between the early morning, the political bullshit, another slow day at work, and the gray drab weather… I need a pick me up of some kind. Which is unfortunate because when I’m in need of a bit of a pick me up, I tend to withdraw a bit. So I don’t do notes much and I don’t call people or try to talk to folks. Which is antithetical to to actually getting a pick me up but… I suppose it is the way of things. When you are the guy “helping victims” or “being strong for others” or all the various roles I fill as Prosecutor and Husband… I guess withdrawing makes sense so that the people who may rely on you don’t see you needing someone as well.

Aaaaaand… the Borderlands Live Stream that I figured I could watch and enjoy during my lunch hour? Is being cast on Twitch to advertise the new EchoExtension for Twitch Streaming. AKA… it is being aired via a webserver that my Work Place has blocked. Rassa Frassa Grumble Grumble. Really the only reason I even care is Insider Points and SHiFT Loot… which I can easily do without. But only because Borderlands isn’t a competitive multiplayer (or hasn’t been in the past). But it is exactly shit like this that gets me so ticked off about Competitive Multiplayer Games that do Loot Boxes and Twitch Events and Product Tie Ins and all of that… I understand that Triple A games are expensive… I understand that the more money you can make from each game sale and extras the happier the company is. But if playing the game religiously gets you the A Grade Shotgun… it is bullshit that someone can just watch a Twitch Stream or Buy a Mountain Dew or fork over an extra $70 of real money to purchase the in-game S Class Spread Weapon… and then totally frack the entire competitive market. That shit is game ruining and needs to stop.

Okay… so… now I’m bored to the point of typing in Bored on google and investigating the results. I’m going to publish this and give serious consideration to doing something else. Even if that something else is just… more writing. But of a different sort.
