Crystal Skulls in Poetry

I cannot waste time
For it rots me away
Starting from the inside
Gnaw at my spine
Rip me to shreds
I know how to
Piece me
Back together again

I’ve finally reached
The point
Between love and hate
Accelerate
My mind
To create words
That hide and disguise
Create the truth
Pushing away the lies

Truth is what I seek
As my blood leaks
In a slow drip
For the mirrors
Reflect my soul
Dorian Gray
Is what they told
And now I hide
In the winter’s guise

It’s not the first time
I’ve come back from the dead
As you chew off
My head
And bury me in the sand
With crystal skulls
Surrounding my bed
