The Cost in Poetry

There is an image
In my head
That I cannot hold
In the palm of my hand
My eyes die
Except the one in my mind
That reveals a hidden design

There is no need
To conquer death
For life recycles
Itself from dust
After refining
Itself from rust

Sometimes I’m zero
Other times I’m one
Everything depends
On how the stars
Translate words from above
The all everlasting love
Only decays
When you choose the “nothing”
To separate from the “All’s” name

Swallowed
And spit out
From the black hole
That exploded eons ago
Follow the trail of light
There are no goodbyes
The reverberation echoes
Across time
