Left Alone in Poetry

When I kiss
Your honey lips
The heavens
Crashed down to the Earth
I’m lost in your mind
Trying to translate
The glamour you generate

Why must my dreams
Separate our seeds
I can manipulate the heavens
Yet, I feel
As if you do not
Want me to find
The path you left behind

I’m confused
Torn apart
From my shattered glass heart
Hermes cursed me to see
The mercury inside of me
The poison that set me free
Prisoned your mind
And the cells closed one at a time

I wish you wouldn’t
Drift away from me
You are my afflatus to the One
When our souls bind
And now that you are led astray
I belong to the gray
And I forgot how to pray
