Resetting the Earth in Poetry

Bipolar gods
Have compromised a battlefield sight
When the night continues to consume
And annihilate everything
That is innocent
The screams of torture
Rebound to all ends of the Earth

Sorrow
Sadness
Heartbroken grief
Filling the air with sounds
That stain
And do not disappear
Unforgiven love
Centered and enterprising
Commercials of forgotten memories
Advertising therapy
To produce a little hate
Increasing sensitivity
Decreasing anatomy
Sedating the madness
Liberating the prisoned mind
Programmed to detonate by society’s suicide

Then in a caprice
The sun explodes into a supernova
And a prism of light
Cambers through the dark skies
As the gift of light
Captures the night
Holding it prisoner in its sights

The clouds conspire together
Formulating a teardrop
That runs the race of time
Creeping down
The projected veins
Of a leaf
Fall off into an oblivion
Until it is soaked inside
A spider’s web
Washing the blood
Away from the victim’s face
Stolen and vanishing
Without a trace
