There are people who believe that different types of dreams have different types of meanings.
Most of the time I feel that a dream is just that, a dream, and nothing more. But when I start to dream more intense things I think, ‘could this really mean something?’
Well, I had one of those dreams last night and I cannot stop thinking about it. It felt so real and I could feel everything I touched. It’s weird to explain. The dream felt long yet rushed at the same time. I was with my niece and nephews and my boyfriend at an indoor pool and there were teenage guys there. (It’s important to note that there were also bedrooms in the building were the indoor pool was.) In my dream the teenage guys were pedophile but I wouldn’t find out until later in the dream. In the dream I knew the guys who were there, although I’ve never seen them in real life, and for some reason they got me mad. My niece of 8 years old was a lot taller in the dream than in real life but she remained the same age. She thought one of the teenage guys was cute and I told her they were too old for her and that she wasn’t allowed to date or have a boyfriend at her age. It was time to leave the pool and for some reason I was in a hurry to leave and my boyfriend was mad at me, the reason is unknown, and he took my nephews with him and they were waiting for me and my niece outside of the building. I was gathering all of the things and once I gathered everything I looked around for my niece but she was nowhere to be found. Then I heard a horrible cry coming from one of the rooms and I immediately know it’s my niece. I sprint to the room where my nice is and the door is locked and some how I break through it. One of the teenage guys is on the bed and my niece is crying badly saying it hurt and she wouldn’t stop saying that it hurt (he raped her). I automatically knew what she was talking about and I jumped on top of him and I started punching him in the face and just beating him until the cops came. When the cops showed up they took me off of him and then I went to hug my niece and I woke up from the dream.
I was shocked because I felt like it was all so real. I couldn’t stop thinking about how real it felt throughout the day. When my niece came home from school she was her regular, hyperactive self. It made me happy to know that it was just a dream, I’m just still so astounded at how real everything felt.

Is there a part of your life, right now, that is being assaulted? That's what came to mind as I read your dream. How vivid and dramatic! As a child I had dreams of being chased by "bad guys," they finally stopped when I stopped and beat the assailants who chased me. Your dream response was the right one, to show fierce protection. Interesting.
