Emma my old friend .
I do miss you .
But the times could not let me bring you with me.
Emma my dear friend.
I wish it didn’t have to end.
But the second you didn’t believe what I’ve been through.
Even though you knew me for so long.
I just knew.
Maybe one day you will have a change of heart.
But I’m not going to hold my breath.
You’ve known me from the start.
So it’s hard.
But I had to let you go.
Yes sometimes I miss you so.
But I can’t do this to my soul.
I can’t allow you to tell me my reality.
I just can’t have you in my life and feel whole.
I let you go as peacefully as I could.
I wish you well.
Although I wish you could have realized that instead of your childhood.
Mine was pure hell
I just hid it well.
Those days growing up I was barely even a shell.
Now I’ve came out of that shell.
And I am becoming a butterfly.

Sometimes as much as we hate it, we have to let people go especially when they aren't supportive of what you are going through. You write beautifully by the way.
