capstone in poetry

cap’s stuck to the back end
of this scribbling pen
if I try to close it
if I try to separate them out
the whole thing falls apart
I suppose I should just
leave it out now
leave it to risk of leaking
leaving it to the risk of drying
because it seems to work for now
because the other ones are dying
why try to overthink it
even if you know it will eventually explode
if for right now it seems alright?
