11.4 Windy Roads! in These Foolish Things

Oh! So Elaine says I need to fill you in on all of our day drinking yesterday! NO…in case you’re wondering, we DID NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!!
We had tons of fun yesterday exploring the little downtown area and stopping into various locations to have cocktails. Our intention was to have a couple of drinks and then find a car wash so that we could wash the bugs off of Elaine’s car.
However, we never made it that far. We were having too much fun bar hopping and Tindering! Half the fun was the Tindering. We had a few prospects who swiped right on both of us and we had some fun playing around with that - until a guy told us that he’d take both of us on…then we kind of freaked out.
Who knows how the “We’re Going Out” feature works? It doesn’t appear to do anything.
Today - we drove on the Tail of the Dragon on the Tennessee/N. Carolina border. It was amazing. 11 miles and 318 curves! Elaine drove one way and I got to drive back! What a friggin blast!
We were almost back to our Airbnb, when we spotted a moonshine tasting place! There, we tasted many thimbles of different flavors of moonshine! It was kind of hilarious. We made friends with everyone in the joint. Elaine bought some apple pie moonshine. I wanted to buy some, but realized that I couldn’t carry moonshine on the plane so I opted out.
So now we sit in our little basement loft with it’s funky lighting situation and a bar on top of us…we can hear the people in the bar and believe that we are going to have to join them! It’s going to be a long night, and I have to get up super early in order to make it on time to the flag corps registration.

I always thought there should have been an OD convention once, where people meet up and hang out in some lounge all night talking about stuff and each other. I only met a couple of people from there in real life but it was always fun when I did. Glad you are having a mini-one of those!

This sounds like such an insanely fun trip. Ah, to be a solo girl out with an OD girlfriend in a new town! I'm seriously envious. Also because I like you and Elaine both so much. If I could choose anyone to hang with from here/OD that I haven't already, it'd be you guys! Tinder-Ing while out sounds fun too! Sometimes I want to download the damn app just to try it out. Swiping on people sounds way too fun. I've said the word fun too much now. K, bye. x
