I’ve had a sore throat since Thursday. I thought it would let up, but it just gets worse. It was at an 11 out of 10 last night. I decided to at least get some over-the-counter painkillers. This is not a smart choice by any means, but I was desperate. It took the throbbing and stinging away. It only hurt when I swallowed. But it made me sweat profusely. It was disgusting.
I woke up when the effects wore off. I took another Advil. Was able to fall back asleep. I’m going to go to the clinic today. I suspect that it is an ulcer. I’ve had this before. It was weeks of this. I need a doctor’s note. I want a few more days off work. Only because my boss’s boss wants me to do the front reception, it hurts to speak, and I don’t want to be subject to answering phones all day.
