Did a show tonight and I can’t get it out of my mind.
For whatever reason there were technical problems; there were issues with the crew..and the crowd was either not into the show, tired because we were the last band or subconsciously picked up on our technical issues and hated the show. They were outright dead.. couldn’t move them with anything we tried.
I haven’t bombed this bad in a while. I am having a hard time navigating my emotions about it. I feel like I’ve let down an entire town that sat in that park waiting for our part of the show.
I am drowning in embarrassment to be honest. It’s one thing to make mistakes at a normal job when the only person that might see it is the boss and a coworker. Imagine a few hundred or thousand seeing it.
It’ll take a year or more for me to get over how this feels. I’m 100% on this - I probably won’t be asked to come back.
I’m gonna need a minute. I don’t do defeat well.
