I had a dentist appt. They got a new endodontist and wanted me to see him because i have an abscess under a root canal. He gets updated 360 scans. Hes like im going to try REALLY hard for you. but 50% chance we need to do surgery...
An hr in. Literally I shake so bad the whole time and i took vallum. Yeah he pulls out.
Says im sorry. Ive tried for an hr but i can NOT get into the root canal. He tried drilling and burning. They filled it with SILVER AND PLASTIC! What the FUCK.
Hes like not only that, but you have two puss filled active abscesses. AND necrotic tissue... Gangrene he said, IN MY FACE.
How many of my migraines are triggered by this constant abscess ive had under TWO teeth... since my root canals 7 years ago. They have been getting worse year after year. Sometimes meds dont help.
Yall. He is going to cut a U shape under 3 teeth in my gums. Peel them back, Cut roots off two teeth ( not the one in the middle, just the two on either side that have root canals) Fill them from the bottom. Extract as much crap as he can. Scoop out puss with a spoon ( HE SAID SPOON) and FILL the abscesses with material. Then do a bone graft to repair the damaged bone. Then stitch me back up.
My alternative is having all three teeth pulled. Because you cant leave a middle tooth and the bone is too damaged now to do a bone graft for a implant. Which he said likely would be 10K.
This guy was super nice! He REALLY was. Ive had three dentists tell me I need grafts and repairs on those teeth. Hes like ive done hundreds of thousands. Im not good at a lot, I cant even dress myself without my wife telling me what leg to put on first, but I can do root canals. I talk slow but I drill fast. And he did well for me shaking so bad and even put pressure on me when I was getting too bad for counter pressure. I believe him... Hes not the first person to tell me its bad. I knew it was bad... Me and my valium, we going to be good friends through this.
They didnt even charge for today's work because all he did was drill down and then refill the crown.
So yeah, Of COURSE my teeth are failing that bad.
Thank goodness I have a 2200 limit on my care credit card. This is estimating to be 1600 ( He said they were knocking a few things off like the actual surgical costs...) And then I can pay over a year. We have way too many bills right now so adding another monthly payment blows... But not much choice here,.
