Remember that woman I talked about in my last entry who offered to let me finger her in the bathroom of the bar?
N and I met her and her husband late Friday for pho.
It all came together really fast. It just so happened that the wife was going to be near our location for a work party, so she told her husband (who was at another event nearby) to head to the pho place and meet us.
I was out with a friend that night, but because it ended early, I was able to make it, and N had no plans that night. The universe cleared up the evening for us, I suppose.
The four of us sat down and chatted for just over an hour, getting to know each other and breaking the ice.
Full disclosure: the wife and I had been chatting via Telegram for a bit before we all met. She and I are definitely the more extroverted of our respective couples. It's not that N is withdrawn or doesn't want to participate. She is, by her own words, better with in-person conversations than chatting over a messenger app. The husband is the same way. He's very quiet, but a really nice guy and he talks when he feels comfortable, which is exactly the same as N.
It was a nice meal, and the conversation was lively.
For those wondering, there were lots of flirty looks and I had my arm around the wife at one point, but there was no retreating to the bathroom for any shenanigans.
On the way out, there were hugs and kisses goodbye. I admit that the wife and I lingered on a tad longer than they did, so they started kissing some more. Ah, the first awkward goodbye! 😄
I noticed that I was feeling a little bad about having what I perceived as an advantage because the wife and I had been chatting previously, so I named it to N. She was very graceful about it and reassured me that it was no big deal. We talked more about them and how the kissing was and how that sort of meeting doesn't really lend itself well to a one on one dynamic, and that it was also important that we all met so we could vet each other and feel comfortable.
Since then, the wife and I have arranged a play date for this week and the husband has messaged N to start a one on one conversation.
Never a dull moment around here!
