What happens to a vegan when they eat cheese? I didn’t really know either. I already have a hypersensitive gut. I haven’t had dairy in 9 years. Next year is my 10-year veganniversary. I don’t care either. I’m not an ecofascist about it. To each their own. I digress. I am just now recovering from the exposure I had on the 16th. I’m in my Karen era. I just wrote a scathing review for Thermea. It’s a Nordic spa. Long story short, the customer service I experienced was menacing, which I can handle, but when it came to our lunch, the server misunderstood vegetarian with vegan. It’s an honest mistake, but I ate my whole plate before she told me. The cheese on my dish was real cheese.

When I quit something toxic, my body becomes hypersensitive. It burned the lining of my mouth. In the past, it would cause an ulcer in my mouth. That did not happen, this time. Thank goddess. A little acne breakout followed. Then came the inflammation. That’s what knocked me off my ass last week.

I saw my osteo yesterday. He spent the whole session on my abdomen. I couldn’t even fold myself, my stomach was so inflamed. The session hurt, but it did wonders.

My osteo suggested I call Thermea and tell them about my experience. They’ll give you a free certificate. He said. I don’t know how to feel entitled, but I just might call them. I wrote the review to soft-launch it. I have no confidence that they will handle me with care or be accountable.

I don’t know how much longer I will stay plant-based, but I do know that I will never touch dairy. Meat and eggs, sure, but dairy is scary. Especially for my ethnic group. We did not evolve around it. The Western diet is slaughtering us. There is a doctor, I can’t remember his name, but he calls it dietary racism. I don’t agree with that statement. It’s a discernment issue, as far as I am concerned. We are making our own choices. The ethnic group that can barely metabolize dairy continues to make the proteins that break down dairy. No other animal continues to consume milk post-infancy, and those proteins are huge, and that energy should go somewhere else. Our bodies break down food into individual molecules for absorption, and the protein that breaks down dairy only breaks them down into fragments because of the passive immunity between mother and infant. It also stimulates mucus growth, which doesn’t need to continue post-infancy. Not to mention that dairy is so acidic in the body that our bones leak calcium to try to neutralize it. The dairy industry made a protein-reduced product to help combat the problem, but it never made it to market. They just fortify with calcium instead, which the body won’t use anyway.

I’m rambling.
