Since it doesn’t seem like my mom is interested in her biological kids as much as she is her new 30 year old stepson - I decided to create my own tradition.
So, for Christmas Eve, myself and a few that is closest to me sat down at my place, around my tree and spent time together. I told them we would begin this tradition by sharing our most memorable Christmas. It was peaceful, thoughtful and fun! I made apple cider for everyone and from the youngest to the oldest we took turns giving our attention to each person as they shared their favorite Christmas memories.
