We don’t celebrate Halloween
We Do celebrate all saints/all souls day. We just carved jack-o’-lanterns and turnip lanterns. Omg they are cute.

No, we’re not religious. I just don’t like the openly satanic and death centered culture surrounding Halloween. Not that I like any level of satanic ritual, but costumes used to be homemade and cute. The life-affirming nod to all saints/all souls day has been virtually eradicated. It’s All Hallows Eve. The Eve of the important days; not a celebration of death and everything ugly and fearful in the world, as it seems to have been encultured into.
I feel really good about the decision, and especially after realizing it’s the only holiday pushed hard by public Schools. Everything else is stripped away, except Halloween, where candy bribes, dressing up as “something else” and wearing masks is normalized for little children - especially pre-school and grade school.
Isn’t it interesting that everything joyful, life-affirming and warm has been perverted by these weirdos. We can’t have a discovery of land; it’s that you are guilty of genocide. We can’t have standing up for freedom; it’s that you’re racist. We can’t have Christmas, Martinmas, Michaelmas, or Resurrection Sunday; if you do, you’re a religious bigot. But Halloween is fine. Just make sure you ignore the important bits of all saints/all souls day.
