Yesterday I chauffeured mom and aunt around for the yearly birthday lunch/thrift store excursion. I mostly stayed on the Hoopla app since my e-book returned today.
Today the sun was warm and a cool breeze swept the land. I sat outside for a good bit and read part of Alan Alda’s Things I Overheard While Talking To Myself. It’s a collection of speeches and little memoirs he’s written over the last forty or so years. I read his autobiography Never Have Your Dog Stuffed a few years back and it was entertaining. This one, it speaks to his views on life and beliefs. He’ll forever be Hawkeye from MASH to me, yet his wisdom shines through as himself as a person through his words.
Currently sitting on my sofa with Lily purring away loudly in my lap.
Sucks for her, it’s feedin’ time for the outdoor kitties.
