With homemade fajitas.
🤤
Mom and I got out of the house for a few hours this afternoon. Only cure for cabin fever. The weather, while humid, was breezy with dun and partly cloudy skies.
I checked out the first season of Hannibal at the recommendation of a friend and Horror Hangout from the library. Started it last night and nearly done with it. Man it is REALLY good! Got it on loan from the south Huntsville branch. Wow! I know Southside is where most of the rich folks live but that library! I was impressed. Super nice. Even the kids section has a stage and seating for events. Thoroughly impressed. Picked up two Mark Twain books at the Friends of the Library Used Books at the entrance.
Had Zaxby’s for for lunch. I’ve only ate their food once before and it was years ago. So during our excursion she mentioned that my oldest brother and SIL were raving about it. Honestly, it was pretty good. I had boneless wings with the garlic buffalo sauce. Very tasty but I could not get the taste of garlic out of mouth.
Overall…I’m feeling a lot better mentally. Getting a decent sleep from night to morning (instead of reverse) and the weather being nice today helped immensely. Just the major holiday season is coming up and it’s just a very difficult time for me.
For those that don’t know my dad died on October 25th back when I was a teenager. Hep C brought on by alcoholism dude him in. (Actually he caught pneumonia in the hospital but was there due to complications.) Just a reminder that the family hasn’t been “whole” for a long time.
26 years this year.
Just finished the rest of my fajita.
The next episode is calling me.
Good place to end this.
✌️
But mostly what I learned is, how little is actually known about mental illness. All they know, it’s rarely about finding solutions. It’s just more about managing expectations.
