the package it comes in
tastes of cereal and sin
the ancient fantasies and
horseshoes and blue moons
cardboard souls bound up
in wax paper dixie cups
still awaiting the
balance of breakfast
still wading through
the artificial fears
still fading away
in a couple beers
still fighting for a way
to finish a love song
still served up with
a fried egg and a bong
is part of you complete
is a part of you complete
or merely enriched wheat
the package it comes in
tastes of cereal and sin
