I decided to open up Credit Karma, and I was shocked to see that my credit score dropped 84 pts. A collections notice was reported this month for an electrical bill worth $1295. That ain’t my bill. I’ll call the electric company and see where this bill was racked up. It is definitely my sister’s bill from over a decade ago.
We moved in together with her boyfriend, who turned out to be a sociopath. Drug addicts don’t care who they hurt. They’re soulless little creatures while they’re using, and I refuse to act like they’re the victims. Well, I can’t say that since I work at a leftist nonprofit and hand out harm reduction. Long story short, I moved out and they continued to live there. His financial abuse is why my sister stayed. He put nothing in his name. He must have used mine. They’re still together. He is clean. They had a baby. They still suck at making choices. I will wait until this weekend to tell them about the bill. My sister is coming into town for our nephew’s birthday, and she is crashing at my place with her daughter. Her boyfriend will have to ask Mommy and Daddy to bail him out again. They’re millionaires. They always bail him out. He’s lucky to have them. If he were my child, I would have let him die on the streets. Instead of cleaning up after him and apologizing for him, my whole life.
Needless to say, this put a damper on my day. Just when I was catching a break, this was dumped on my lap. There is a chance that they will refuse, and I will have to take them to a small claims court.
